Some precautionary measures can take us away from an unpleasant experience, and reduce the likelihood of fires in homes.
Local sources unanimously agreed that most of the causes of fires in homes in the city of Crater in Aden Governorate were caused by the electric impulse after the power returned after the outage, causing pressure on electronic devices leading to their explosion, causing huge fires.
The sources cautioned that it is necessary to ensure that electrical appliances are turned off when electricity is cut off, in order to prevent them from being damaged and exploded by the high current of electricity upon the return of electricity. Especially air conditioners, refrigerators and heaters.
And the sources reported, that some homes do not have an automatic switch, which disconnects the electrical current in the event of a short circuit and prevents the return of the current except in the case of repairing the defect of the diamond only.
A huge fire broke out on Monday night in a street in Crater city in Aden governorate, where the fire consumed a store, in addition to the house of a female citizen on Al-Ittihad Street.
The "NewsYemen" correspondent confirmed that the house that was burned was among the archaeological houses that were documented through the "Eden Identity" project, as it contained ancient archaeological home artifacts.
Earlier, a massive fire gutted an apartment building in the Al-Qatea neighborhood in Crater, where the citizens managed to extinguish the fire before the arrival of the civil defense units.
Also, a massive fire in the center of the old city of Crater, early last January, killed the citizen “Ahmed Naseeb” and his family, due to the explosion of one of the home's electronic devices.
