The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, continues its plans related to educational research and institutions, as it issued a decision to appoint a new agent for the projects and equipment sector as an alternative to the conference leader, Abdul Karim Al-Jendari.
Educational sources in Sanaa told NewsYemen: The newly appointed Houthi deputy minister, Qassem Al-Hamran, began his work by dismissing the former agent Abdul Karim Al-Jandari from his position as the ministry’s agent for the projects sector and appointing the leader of the militias classified on the US terrorist lists Khaled Ibrahim Yahya Ibrahim as his replacement.
The sources added that the Houthi leader Al-Hamran issued a decision to appoint Khaled Ibrahim, in violation of the laws and regulations related to the appointment process, as he is not entitled to issue any appointment decisions for those in the position of agents or general managers, but Al-Hamran bypassed all laws and regulations and appointed Khaled Ibrahim as the ministry's agent for the projects and equipment sector
Al-Hamran, who was recently appointed Deputy Minister of Education, is one of the most prominent hard-line Houthi leaders, as he works for the militia’s executive office and supervises the cultural side, as he previously held proxy positions in the local administration and the Wounded Organization, in addition to being the one behind the closures. According to the sources, the Houthi leader Al-Hamran said during a meeting with the leaders of the ministry, that Al-Jandari's exclusion is due to his being one of the Afasy leaders and that positions in all ministries, particularly in an important ministry such as education, should be assigned to jihadist leaderships, according to his claim, loyal to what is called the Qur’anic march and comply with the requirements of faith identity , As per his description.
The projects and equipment sector at the Ministry of Education consists of: the General Administration for Project Implementation and Design, the General Administration for School Supplies and Equipment, the School Map General Administration, the General Administration for Maintenance and Services, and the General Administration for Planning and Projects.
