Mokha, NewsYemen:

On Friday, the head of the Southern Resistance Council prisoners' file, the general negotiator for the south and the western coast, Colonel Yasser Al-Haddi Abu Suhaib, reassured the families of the prisoners on the ongoing negotiations (Amman 4) under the auspices of the United Nations between the Houthi militia and the Yemeni government in the Jordanian capital since January 24, 2021.

Colonel Al-Haddi said: We reassure families inside and outside the country that the signs of goodness and relief are close, through a spirit of responsibility, conscience and despondency to get the prisoners' file to safety.

He affirmed, in a statement carried by the Giants Forces website on the West Coast, the determination to establish a new type of prisoner exchange deal, adding, "And no matter how great the difficulties are, we will overcome it with the will of God"

On Sunday, the office of the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, announced the launch of the fifth meeting of the supervisory committee concerned with following up on the implementation of the prisoner and detainees exchange agreement between the legitimacy and the Houthi militia, which is listed on the US black list of terrorist organizations, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

In a statement, Griffiths urged "the two parties to the conflict to make the top priority of their discussions the release of all prisoners, sick and wounded detainees, the elderly and children, in addition to the immediate and unconditional release of all civilians who are arbitrarily detained, including women," he said.

He also urged the two parties to discuss and agree on names beyond the lists of the Amman meeting, in fulfillment of their obligations under the Stockholm Agreement, which provides for the release of all prisoners and detainees in connection with the conflict as soon as possible.
