Aden, Newsyemen:

The Southern Transitional Council (NTC) on Thursday evening condemned the assassination of al-Shabwa's elite soldier Zakaria al-Aqel Baawada in the city of Gul al-Rida in Meifa district, accusing the Brotherhood of being behind it.

In a statement issued by its official spokesman Ali Abdullah al-Khari, the council condemned and condemned "the acts of repression, abuse and terrorism carried out by the Brotherhood's authority against the sons of the province, primarily members of the elite forces," calling it "in retaliation for the heroic role of the elite in the fight against terrorism in the province before it fell into the hands of the invading Brotherhood militias."

"At a time when the Council and its successors were southern people and moderate political forces hoping that the measures to implement the Riyadh agreement and from that military component will go smoothly, the Brotherhood insists on disrupting the implementation of these commitments, leading up to the obstruction of the return of the shaban elite forces and their deployment in the province," the statement said.

"We have noted with great regret the increase in killings, repression, terrorism, arrests and stalking targeting the heroes of the elite forces without justification other than revenge for the role of these heroes in cleansing their province of terrorism and acts of cutting and haraba."

He stressed the need to implement the agreement's commitments and create conditions for the re-deployment of elite forces in their designated positions in order to avoid scenarios that do not serve the purpose of the agreement.

The statement called on the Saudi-led Arab coalition sponsoring the Riyadh agreement to commit the Brotherhood militias, as he described it, to implement what they have to do as a prerequisite for further implementation of the remaining provisions.

Al-Transitional stressed that he will not give up his duty towards the Shabwa elite and will not stand idly by in the face of the continuing series of targeting of this southern national strike force, which has an honorable record of tournaments and achievements. According to the statement.
