Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for an armed attack targeting Security Belt forces in Abyan

Al-Qaeda organization claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack targeting a point of the Security Belt Forces in the city of Lawdar in Abyan Governorate last Monday.
In a statement on social media, the organization said that its gunmen attacked a security belt force post in the Lawdar sector, killing 8 soldiers, indicating in its statement that its gunmen destroyed a number of security forces' vehicles.
ISIS released photos of the attack that took place at the eastern entrance to the city of Lawdar.
The Security Belt Forces had announced the killing of 6 of its soldiers in the Lawdar sector, and accused the Brotherhood forces of facilitating the attack of the terrorist group when the al-Qaeda militants passed during and after the operation at the Brotherhood’s points without being intercepted by anyone.
