Sanaa, NewsYemen:

A leader in the Brotherhood organization and a commander of a military brigade in Al-Jawf governorate defected from the legitimate forces and joined the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

On Wednesday, the Houthi militia announced that 15 members of the forces of the interim president, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, including a brigade commander, had arrived in Sanaa.

Among the defectors is the leader of the Reform Party, Brigadier General Hamad Al-Hazmi, commander of the "Ezz Brigade" in Al-Jawf Governorate, in the northeast of the country.

This brigade is stationed in the Al-Yatma area, and it was formed during the year 2017, and it fought fierce battles against the Houthi militia in the Al-Buqa area in the Saada governorate that borders with Saudi Arabia and provided hundreds of dead and wounded against Iran's arm.

Brigadier General Al-Hazmi heads the so-called Dahm Tribal Council, and he is a prominent leader in the Islah Party, but Brotherhood members have begun to deny his relationship with the organization and claim that it belongs to the Salafi group, after his defection from the legitimate forces and joining the Houthis.

The media of the Houthi militia reported that the renegade Brotherhood leader said upon his arrival in Sana'a: “There is no way for Yemenis today to stand together in the face of the forces of aggression and liberate the country from the invaders who aspire to occupy Yemen and plunder its wealth and wealth,” he said.
