Aden, NewsYemen:

A member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, said on Sunday that the people of the Ma'rib governorate found themselves after five years of plundering their wealth by the Brotherhood, in front of the bitter truth that there is no army to protect Marib.

On Friday the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, took control of the strategic "Mas" camp, west of Ma'rib, and later advanced towards the "Laqsha" mountain range adjacent to Al-Jawf.

Al-Awlaki wrote a tweet on his Twitter account, in which he said: "After five years of plundering the wealth of Marib and dismantling its social fabric, and falsely promoting a Singaporean model in it, the people of Marib found themselves today facing the bitter truth."

And he added: "There is no army that protected Marib, nor a security system, nor Singapore in Marib. Rather, a slaughtered society and American Drones are pursuing terrorism and the Houthis are expanding. Beware."
