Aden, NewsYemen:

The Yemeni journalist on the "Al-Ghad-Al-Mushreq" channel, Izzat Mustafa, on his Facebook page, raised the issue of the arrest of some employees of the "Belqis" channel, owned by the Nobel Peace Prize owner, Tawakkul Karman, by Turkish intelligence?

He demanded that those concerned and those who have details about the case be made clear, stressing that there is severe secrecy, and that Karman may be involved and have a hand in the issue of arrest.

According to the sources, the number of those arrested was more than 7 who were working in the channel, including six who have been in detention since early March.

Some of them are awaiting trial on charges of revealing the identity of two members of the Turkish intelligence service accused of crimes in Libya.

In addition to other charges, according to the sources, they are pending writing and publishing information on social media, following Erdogan's statement in February that Turkey had a number of martyrs on Libyan soil.

Among the defendants, an employee in the municipality of Akhisar, western Turkey, was charged with providing journalists with pictures of the funeral of an intelligence officer who was killed in Libya.

While the main charges against the detainees were communicating with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the sources confirmed that all media outlets are subject to tight censorship and espionage by Turkish intelligence.

It is worth noting that the file of detainees in general with the Erdogan regime is full of violations, as more than 200,000 detainees have been in prison since the coup failed on July 16, 2016.

Reports indicate that most of the detainees pending political accusations, from the army, security, education, health and other departments, are distributed among dozens of prisons in the country, some of which were established during the past years.
