Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Sources close to the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, said that differences between the conflicting factions within the movement began to increase, especially with regard to conflicts related to issues of corruption, looting and theft of public money between the Saada lobby and the remnants of the Hashemite authorities belonging to the city of Sana'a.

The sources added to Newsyemen: The decision to suspend the Minister of Water and Environment in the National Salvation Government, which is controlled by the militias, Nabil Al-Wazir, and two other officials of the Ministry by the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, which was announced came within the framework of conflicts between those wings.

The conflict between the minister, who is one of the leaders affiliated with the Houthi militia within the government, has escalated remarkably with the prominent leader in the militia, Ahmed Hamed, who is the director of the Presidency Office in the Houthi Authority and whose wing and the media loyal to him led a corruption accusation campaign against the Minister of Water, Nabil Al-Wazir, last month.

The decision to dismiss the "minister" comes a month after the assassination of the Minister of Youth and Sports, who was fighting a similar battle with Ahmed Hamed, the strongest party in Sanaa since his arrival from "Saada" after the Houthi’s control over it was completed.

It was noteworthy that the announcement of the decision to arrest Nabil al-Wazir came just a day after a series of tweets by Houthi leader Ahmed Hamed about what he claimed to fight corruption, in one of which he said, “Citizens will hear in the coming days what they are pleased with in combating corruption, and the media must stand by our side in this battle.”

The issue of differences between Hamed and Nabil Al-Wazir is one of the forms of conflicts taking place within the wings of the Houthi militia, centered on the theft and looting of international relief aid, which began to appear in a large way in the public domain.

Ahmed Hamed has a direct relationship with the leader of the militias, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and leads the group's state during a formal position as director of the presidential office.
