A leader in the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization was killed, on Saturday, while participating in the fighting alongside the Brotherhood militia, in Abyan Governorate (southern Yemen), just one day after another leader was killed.
Field military sources told "NewsYemen" that the leader of al-Qaeda, Abdulrahman Abdullah al-Hababi, was killed during the confrontations between the southern forces and the Muslim Brotherhood in the coastal town of Shuqra on Saturday.
The sources pointed out that "Al Hababi" hails from the Gil Bawazir (Bedouin neighborhood) in Hadhramaut governorate, and participated with the organization in controlling Mukalla, before fleeing when the Hadrami Elite Forces entered the city.
Yesterday, another leader in Al Qaeda was killed while participating in the fighting alongside the Brotherhood militia in Abyan.
According to security sources, the leader of the Al-Qaeda organization, Ali Ahmed Al-Qassma, was killed last Friday in the coastal town of Shakra.
The leader hails from the "Modia" district and has been associated with Al-Qaeda following the return of the prominent leader in the organization, Jamil Al-Anbari, from Iraq, in the 1990s.
According to a security report, "Ali Ahmed Al-Qassma" was a student at the hands of the Sharia Mufti of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (Muhammad Drama - known as Abu Al-Bishr), and he was one of the planners to bomb the American destroyer, "USS Cole", on the coast of Aden in 2000.
