Al-Dhalea, Newsyemen:

The Iranian-backed Houthi militia launched a massive raids campaign for the third day in a row, and plundered millions of riyals from the new currency edition in the northern regions of Al-Dhalea Governorate.

The campaign of Iran's arm affected the shops, exchange shops and sellers of the "Qat plant" in the various areas south of Mikhlaf Al-Oud, in the Qataba district, and large parts north and west of Al-Husha district, northwest of Al-Dhalea.

Local sources said that Iran's arm raided the owners of shops and money exchange stores in the regions of Azab, Beit Al-Sharji, Hajar, Al-Qurain, Al-Tahoun, and others, and confiscated millions of riyals from the new edition of the currency under the pretext that it was illegal - as far as they described - and threatened to arrest them and refer them to the prosecution.

The militia also confiscated large sums of money from wholesalers of the "qat plant" in the Qurain market, west of the Al-Fakher sector, in the same district.

The sources revealed that the General Supervisor of the Houthi militia on Al-Dhalea, called Abu Ahmed Hatabah, informed the farmers of qat in the directorates of the northern regions of Al-Dhalea that he would bring merchants with him to buy and export it to the fronts of the north and west of the country.

The farmers considered the Houthi leader's scheme fraudulent to acquire the crops at a cheap price, especially after the harassment and the prevention of them from selling it in the new currency in the liberated areas, the decline in its value, and incurring heavy losses.

The sources described the practices of the Houthi militia as starvation, which aims to deprive citizens of the value of the crops of their products, 90 percent of which go to the markets of the liberated provinces due to their borders with them.

The Houthi decision to prevent the circulation of currency in Al-Qutaba and Al-Husha, and more than 1500 teachers and government employees were taken prisoner to starvation, for having received their salaries from the legitimate government in the new edition as a result of sharing these areas under the control of both parties.
