Al-Houthi turns the first public school into a private one in Sanaa, and approves exorbitant fees of 100,000 riyals

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has begun privatizing public schools in their areas of control, and converting them into private schools.

A source in the Education Office in Sana'a said that the Houthi militia had converted the Balqis Secondary School for Girls, in Sana'a, into a school for boys and imposed large tuition fees.

According to the source, the Houthi militia approved different registration fees for the stages of study in the school, so that primary school students pay 65,000 riyals, middle school students 85,000 riyals, and high school 95,000 riyals.
