Military sources revealed the appointment of the Houthi militia, a former military official in the legitimacy forces, to supervise the areas it had recently seized between the two governorates of Al-Bayda and Marib.
The sources said that Ali al-Sabri, former director of the office of the leader of the al-Bayda axis, Brigadier General Abdulrab al-Asbahi, loyal to the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, was recently appointed by the Houthi militia to supervise the Qaniyah area.
Ali Al-Sabri was the director of the office of the commander of the Al-Bayda axis, Abdulrab Al-Asbahi, and he was appointed by the axis commander to be financially responsible for the axis before defecting from the national army.
The sources said, at the time, that al-Sabri plundered more than fifty million riyals from his custody with the Axis Finance, and he escaped with a number of his companions from the Qaniyah front on board a military crew in late May and went to the capital, Sana'a, next to the Houthi leader, Muhammad al-Bakhiti, announcing his accession to the Houthis.
