Ma'rib, Newsyemen, Hani Ali:

Since the Houthis attempted to invade the Marib Governorate in 2015 and until today, the tribes of Bani Abd in the Al-Abdiya District south of Marib Governorate have given the lives of dozens of their sons in defense of the Republic.

According to the geography links between Al-Bayda and Marib, Hemiar tribes of the Al-Abdiya district are connected with the tribes of North Al-Bayda and the south of Marib with ancient tribal alliances, especially (Al-Awad) on one side and Murad on the other hand; therefore, they were one of the most prominent tribes on every front fighting against the Houthi militia in their geographical surroundings

With the announcement of tribal support launched by Sheikh Yasser Al-Awadi, the Bani Abd tribes were the first to respond for the Al-Awad family, and when the Houthis began the attack on Radman on June 19, the Al-Thabeti family and the Shaddad family were next to the Al-Awad tribes in defense of Radman, before the Directorate suddenly fell in less than 72 hours, by the Houthis, who for two months mobilized hundreds of their soldiers and their military equipment to its outskirts.

The militia that emerged from the victorious Battle of Radman with minimal losses accelerated the pace of its military operations on Qaniyah, Abdiyah, and even the southern outskirts of Ma'rib, so that Bani Abd will bear the bulk of the military effort, as their men fight from the last ten of June in all fields of confrontations that span the area of   the border triangle of the Radman Mahlia Al-Abdiyah District, in Al-Falaq, Al-Domani, Houran, Makhlaq, Al-Yasbl, Al-Aar, and Masouda, and recently in Ramdha, the first areas of Al-Abdiya.

One of the people of the region says: We know that the goal of Al-Houthi since the beginning of its movements in Qaniyah recently is the Al-Abdiya district, as it is a major goal of Al-Houthi that its people do not accept them at all, as the ideas of its people contradict the principles of Al-Houthi, adding two other reasons for the Houthis heading towards Al-Abdiya, from his point of view, it is the birthplace of the man whose hammer broke the backbone of the Houthi forces in the Ma'rib Governorate (that is, Brigadier Abdulrab Al-Shaddadi), in addition to being a school of martyrs and their mourners.

When it comes to the Houthi attacks, and despite the tribes of Al-Abdiyah offering dozens of their men in support of the army on all anti-Houthi fronts, for the second week in a row they face Houthi legions on their own in the first areas of Al-Abdiyah district after the legitimate forces abandoned them despite the continuous calls for help to support them.

One of the people of Al-Abediya indicates that the commander of the 159th Brigade, Saif Al-Shaddadi, son of the martyr Abdulrab Al-Shaddadi, was one of the first participants in the forefront of the Legitimacy Army’s ranks in the first rounds of fighting with the Southern Transitional in Abyan and Shabwa, months ago under the direction of Ali Mohsen, but he stands alone today with the people of his clan, after General Mohsen's forces and the Mogadishi team abandoned him to face his fate.

Explains that al-Shaddadi, whose name has been at the forefront of recent fighting in the legitimacy media as commander of the 159th Brigade in al-Bayda axis; today, he is fighting as a tribal man that must defend the areas of his tribe whose militia are attacking, adding that the legitimate forces located 5 kilometers from Abdiyah refuse to support Bani Abd so far, forgetting that they do not fail the tribes but rather let down the founder of the national army, the martyr Abdulrab Al-Shaddadi.
