The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, continues to detain dozens of oil tankers at Al-Hazm port in Al-Jawf Governorate, causing a stifling crisis in oil derivatives in areas under its control.

Local sources reported that dozens of fuel tanks were detained by the Houthi militia and prevented from entering the province in light of the suffocating crisis facing the local population.

The sources said that the Houthi militia was holding fuel tankers at the entrances to the city of Al-Hazm, the center of the governorate, which it had recently seized.

According to the sources, the Al-Houthi militia prevented, about a week ago, the entry of fuel tanks from the Marib governorate before leaders from them rented fuel stations and sold oil at a price of eight thousand riyals for the tank after it was sold at three thousand riyals.

The Economic Committee of the legitimate government had accused the Houthi militia of withholding more than one hundred and fifty fuel tankers and prevented it from entering the areas under its control, noting that the government provides the necessary facilities to transfer oil derivatives to the Houthi-controlled areas to alleviate the suffering of citizens and limit black market activity, but the Houthi militia is clearly insisting on political trafficking with the suffering of its citizens.
