Human rights alliance: 20 thousand kidnapped people in the prisons of the Houthi militia

On Saturday, the Yemeni Alliance for Monitoring Human Rights Violations stated that 20,000 abductees are in 790 official and unofficial prisons inside the areas controlled by the Houthi militia.

Rassd coalition said, in an electronic seminar, that "there are about 7,000 children recruited into the (militia) ranks, and 6 thousand people are victims of the mines that have been planted in the various provinces."

 "Yemen is witnessing the worst humanitarian crisis due to the practices and violations of the Houthi militia systematically against the Yemeni people, especially during the past year and the first half of the year 2020," the official news agency Saba said, according to the executive director of the coalition, Mutahhar Al-Baidhaji.

While the head of the executive unit for the management of camps for the displaced, Najib Al-Saadi, explained that there are three million and 600 thousand displaced people, including one million and 950 thousand in the legitimacy areas, distributed among 521 locations in addition to displaced persons in the rental houses.

Al-Saadi pointed out that the executive unit has worked during the past two years to coordinate humanitarian work and define the needs of the displaced in order to ensure the delivery of aid to the displaced.
