A thousand daily meals (Iftar) for the displaced on the West Coast, distributed by the Emirates Crescent (video)

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Thursday, April 30, 2020, inaugurated the Iftar Al-Sa’em project at Al-Wa'ra camp for the displaced in Al-Khokha district in Al Hodeidah Governorate.


The project aims to distribute 1000 Iftar meals to the fasting people in the camp on a daily basis during the month of Ramadan.


 Hazem Shandhour, Director of the Relief Department at the Red Crescent Authority in the West Coast, said that the project is within the map of charitable and humanitarian work carried out by the Emirates to help the displaced and the poorest families in the liberated directorates in the West Coast located in the governorates of Taiz and Al-Hodeidah, which benefit 2000 fasting people per day.


The total number of meals that will be distributed during the holy month will reach about 65 thousand meals.


 Hazem Shandhour said that relief teams are in full swing to reach beneficiaries in the various liberated areas of the West Coast.


 The Director General of the Executive Unit for the Administration of Displaced Camps in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, Hamid Al-Khazzan, praised the humanitarian and relief support provided to the displaced and poor families in the areas of the West Coast, and thanked the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, which stands side by side with the children of Al-Hodeidah in all the circumstances they are going through.
