An attack and infiltration of the Houthi militia was thwarted, and aborting the planting of an explosive device in Hodeidah

The joint forces broke an attack by the Houthi militia on its positions in the mountainous area of the Al-Tuhita district, south of Hodeidah, in which the militias used various types of medium and heavy weapons.


The militias incurred heavy casualties and equipment, according to a field military source.

It said that dozens of Houthi militias were killed and wounded, in addition to destroying militia weapons.

The hoint forces were able to repel another attempt by the militia to infiltrate Al-Durahimi, during which they were killed and injured.


On Friday, the joint forces thwarted the process of planting an explosive device that the Houthi militia tried to plant in the dirt line linking the districts of Al-Tuhita and Al-Khokha, south of Hodeidah on the west coast.

A military source said that members of the Twelfth Brigade, giants who saw a member of al-Houthi, tried to penetrate the dirt line to plant the package, but that the members of the brigade pursued him to flee, leaving the explosive device behind.


The source explained that the brigade members were able to find and dismantle the explosive device.

Houthi militias targeted citizens' homes in a number of residential villages north of Al-Durahimi district, south of Al-Hodeidah city.

Local sources in the Al-Durahimi Directorate confirmed that the militias shelled the residential villages with artillery shells, causing damage to citizens ’homes, and also caused terror and fear among children and women in the villages north of Al-Durahimi.
