Thursday, the Office of Industry and Trade in Mocha directorate destroyed an expired quantity of goods and food.
Munir Al-Ariqi, Director of the Industry and Trade Bureau in Mocha, said that the field disembarkation campaign organized by the office during the month of January covered most of the shops.
He added that the campaign was able to discover and confiscate quantities of various foodstuffs that have expired.
He explained that the inspection campaigns on the validity of the goods will continue periodically in order to ensure the safety of citizens
He called on citizens to report any expired goods, noting that community monitoring is important in making such campaigns successful.
For his part, Nabil Ali Saeed, head of the environmental health department at the works office, said that food control campaigns are continuing, but citizen cooperation helps protect the consumer from the dangers of eating finished goods.
