The spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council stated, on Wednesday, that the authorities of Queen Alia Airport in Jordan have informed the council team in the joint committee to implement the Riyadh agreement that the leadership of the Arab coalition refused to grant permission to the plane that would take them to Aden.
Nizar Haitham stated, in a press statement, that the Queen Alia Airport authorities informed the council team that there was a circular by the Arab coalition that included a list of the leaders of the Southern Transitional Council and the director of Aden's security to prevent them from returning to Aden.
Haitham asked the coalition leadership for clarifications about what happened, and knew what the internal repercussions would entail on all levels, including peace efforts.
He emphasized that the Presidency of the Transitional Council and its committees were committed to taking a constructive approach to cooperation in implementing the Riyadh Agreement, despite the failure of the other party to implement its obligations, exceeding all time periods specified for the axes.
