Liaison officers withdrew from two cease-fire observation posts in the city of Hodeidah, western Yemen, after the Houthi militia targeted a senior liaison officer from the government team with direct sniping.

Snipers targeted Colonel Muhammad al-Sulayhi, at the headquarters of the Fifth Liaison Point in Citymax, east of Hodeidah.

Military sources said that the liaison officers of the government forces suspended their work at observation points east of the city of Hodeidah, and called on the United Nations to stop the violations of the Houthi militia for the ceasefire agreement.

Military sources reported that the liaison officers at the first point in (City Max - Sana'a Street) and the fifth point in (Al-Khamiri) withdrew after a colonel officer was wounded by a Houthi sniper bullet.
