Rocket heads, guided mines, explosive devices, explosives, and various mines from the remnants of the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, are the result of one week's work of specialized engineering teams of the joint forces in the western coast, which were destroyed, in continuation of clearing and securing large and sprawling areas of the coast, Tihama and Hodeidah.

On Monday March 9, 2020, the engineering teams in the joint forces destroyed a large amount of 9 tons of Houthi militia mines - including a guided sea mine - that was recently removed from vital and populated areas in Hodeidah, western Yemen.

An official in the joint forces engineering said that the quantity disposed of included: 9 750 kg explosive missile warheads, guided sea mines, anti-armor mines, and explosive devices of varying sizes.

Indian teams continue to dismantle and remove mines, devices and explosives of various shapes and sizes from wide areas in Hodeidah and the West Coast, and to secure more villages, farms, population centers, and populated neighborhoods.

He added that this quantity was removed within a week from tourist resorts, beaches, fish landing centers, citizen farms and public roads, as part of the large and continuous efforts to clear the western coast of the terrorist militia mines.

He stressed that the engineering teams in the joint forces, despite the size of the sacrifices they make, will continue their work at a high pace and will not rest until the entire areas liberated from the mines of the Iranian arm militia are cleared.

The joint forces' eagerness to get rid of Houthi militias first comes as a confirmation of their commitment to international agreements that criminalize the use of mines and explosive devices.

On Sunday, two citizens of the Al-Durahimi directorate killed a landmine from the remnants of the Houthi militia on a public road.
