On Tuesday, armed men attacked the Al-Houta post in the Shibam Hadramout district, in southern Yemen, with hand grenades, which led to a massive fire in the building.

Local sources said that gunmen suddenly attacked the post office guard and took out the employees with the citizens, and threw bombs at the building, causing it to be burned, pointing to the sound of gunfire before the building was ignited.

And armed tribal groups imposed a security cordon on the place during the building's burning until the arrival of the security services and civil defense teams, an hour and a half after the fire broke out and put out the flames.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack on Al-Houta post office until now.

The directorates of Wadi Hadramout and the desert have witnessed unprecedented security, amid calls for de facto authorities loyal to the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, to control the state of security chaos and put an end to crimes of all kinds.
