Al Houthi militia declares the death of prominent leaders

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, announced on Monday, 9 March 2020, that four of its members were killed, including two prominent military leaders.



According to the official news agency (Saba), four people were killed on Monday: “Brigadier Ali Ahmed Saleh Dabaan, Colonel Hassan Ahmed Saleh Al-Rousi, and assistants Hussein Ahmed Ali Somma and Abdul Khaliq Hussein, the leader of the Sheikh.”


 The Houthi militia did not disclose the location of their deaths, and only indicated that they had been killed on the frontlines of fighting with government forces.


During the past few days, the Houthi militia incurred heavy losses, after escalating its military operations, in the governorates of Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Hodeidah, Al-Bayda and Al-Dhale’, where the National Army announced the death of 800 Houthi elements in less than a month.
