Local residents said that the Houthi militia is carrying out a fund-raising campaign from houses in the capital, Sana'a, which is under its control.
Residents in the Al-Rawdah neighborhood, northeast of the capital, added that women members of the so-called Zainabiyat battalion were forced into the neighborhood and moved from homes to houses to collect financial donations for militia fighters in Al-Jawf.
The Houthi militia has taken advantage of the recent progress made at the expense of government forces in the districts of Al-Ghail and Al-Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf Governorate, to collect funds in the name of supporting the front.
According to residents, Zainabiyat al-Houthi enters houses and asks heads of households to provide money to support the war effort.
A resident of Al-Rawda neighborhood said that the “Zainabiyat” elements arrived at his house to collect financial donations and addressed the women saying, “Mujahideen are winning these victories and their victories need support.”
