Taiz, Newsyemen, Private:

On Thursday noon, journalist Yahya Al-Baathi sent a report to the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, under direct threat from the criminal investigation, which is controlled by Muslim Brotherhood militias in the city of Taiz.

"A little while ago I was informed by the management of the Riyadh Hotel on Al-Mughtarebin Street in Taiz that the criminal investigation asked them to tell me to leave Taiz immediately," Al-Buathi said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

"A little while ago I was informed by the management of the Riyadh Hotel on the Expatriates Street in Taiz that the criminal investigation asked her to tell me to leave Taiz immediately," Al-Buaithi said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

The Brotherhood's militia had previously kidnapped Yahya al-Buaithi along with his colleagues Mahfouz al-Bauithi and Munir Talal, after they had been displaced from areas controlled by the Houthi militia and arrived in Taiz last August, without any legal justifications or security reasons, and they continued to be kidnapped for five days, before officials in the government directed to release them.

Journalists, media outlets and activists have condemned these repressive practices and human rights violations by Taiz authorities towards non-Islah members coming to the city, including journalists.

In publications and comments, they called for the communication of journalist Yahya Al-Buaithi, through social media, the Attorney General, the Ministry of Interior, and the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate to move quickly to provide protection for journalists and citizens in Taiz, and to take the necessary measures towards those behind the use of state institutions and security apparatus for partisan purposes that contradict the goals found by its term and functions defined by law and constitution.
