The Houthis kidnapped a journalist who returned to Sana'a and was received by Al-Bakhiti

On Saturday, the Houthi militia, kidnapped a journalist who had recently returned to her areas of control, after he had fled abroad.
A source in the family of journalist Ahmed Al-Maksh said that the Houthi militia kidnapped him while he was in the city of Hodeidah, and took him to a secret prison.


The defected journalist had left Sana'a in 2018, fearing the Houthi militia's brutality, and had settled in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

A few months ago, he returned to his home in Sana'a, which is controlled by the Houthis, after the militia invited those fleeing from its oppression to return to its spheres of influence, as was received by the Houthi leader, Mohamed Al Bakhiti, and took pictures together in old Sanaa.


The source said, that the journalist Ahmed Al-Maksh, left Sana'a days ago, to the city of Hodeidah, and there he was kidnapped by the so-called Preventive Security Service, which is affiliated with the Houthis, and his fate remains unknown until this moment.
