On the first day of his assumption of the duties of his new military position at the head of the General Staff, a meeting chaired by Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, on Saturday, presented the developments of the situation and briefed on the theater of operations in various strategic directions and operational and combat axes.


"The Chief of the General Staff stressed the responsibility of the armed forces in this unusual circumstance, which necessitates redoubling efforts, uniting ranks, and assuming responsibilities."

During his presiding over a meeting of the Joint Operations Command, General Bin Aziz affirmed, "Continuing the efforts made by the Joint Operations Command regarding combat and moral preparation in the theater of combat operations and supplying the fronts and armed forces with manpower in various specialties." According to Saba.


He directed to present practical ideas and visions to raise the combat readiness and implement training programs in all combat units formed on the basis of a national standard and in accordance with the law of the army, stressing attention to the wounded and the families of the martyrs.

He said, "The joint operations will continue to operate according to the goals for which they were formed, and we will all work according to the departments of the Ministry of Defense and Institutional Action, and we will proceed in the same sincere fighting spirit under the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Head of the General Staff."


Appreciating the efforts made by the leadership of the Alliance to Support Legitimacy, especially the Joint Forces Command, for their continuous support to the Yemeni armed forces in order to achieve security and stability in Yemen and to restore what remains of its territory under the control of the Houthi militias backed by Iran.

For his part, Chief of Staff of the Joint Operations, Major General Mohsen Al-Daari, stressed the continuation of the determined efforts to upgrade joint operations and implement the directives of the Ministry of Defense leadership.


Jawf-Al-Ghail Front

To that and in connection with the military developments in Al-Jouf Front - Al-Ghail Directorate, an official military source announced, "The National Army managed to eliminate sleeper cells belonging to the Houthi militia movement after trying to bomb the situation in the center of the Al-Ghail Directorate in Al-Jawf Governorate."


A military source told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), "The national army imposed a tight cordon on the center of the district, followed by violent clashes, during which it was able to eliminate these cells and purify the center of the district."

The death of Houthi leader Khaled bin Lawar al-Sharif, who leads the cells of al-Ghail, had been announced.
