Al-Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, launched artillery shelling on residential areas in the al-Sauma and Al-Zaher districts in Al-Bayda, central Lebanon, following coalition airstrikes targeting a gathering of its members in the Qaifa area northwest of the province.
Local sources told Newsymen that Militia al-Houthi indiscriminately shelled the al-Aqla area of al-Aqla district, and that one of the shells landed on shoppers in al-Aqla market.
The shelling was preceded by similar targeting of the homes and property of citizens in al-Habaj villages in al-Zaher district, she said.
This comes hours after coalition fighters surprised the Houthi militia stationed in Jabal Rabada, Qaffa, which belongs to Ould Rabie' directorate, after a month-long air break from the area.
The sources said that two coalition air raids targeted, late Tuesday evening, a meeting of Houthi field commanders in the mountain followed by heavy flight over the area, without giving details of the results of the targeting.
