The Ministry of Finance held the Central Bank of Yemen in Aden responsible for not paying the salaries of the displaced state employees for the months of November - December 2019, and the consequential consequences for the ministry, which said it had boosted the salary allocations to the Central Bank on January 23.

In a memorandum No. 332 addressed to the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance described the delay in al-Karimi's notices of the salaries of the displaced, deliberate and irresponsible by the bank’s officials.

The displaced government employees in Aden suffer from a difficult economic and living circumstance, as a result of the delay in the payment of their salaries for the fourth month in a row, and they organized several stops in front of the Ministry of Finance to protest the delay in their salaries, and threatened, in their last stand, to sue the legitimate government, due to its suspension of paying their salaries.
