An educational source said that the Houthi militia has issued, through the Ministry of Education in its unrecognized government, a circular requiring all public and private schools to celebrate the birthday of Fatima Zahra.

The Houthi militia called "Muslim Woman's Day", on the memory of the birth of Fatima Al-Zahra.

The headmaster of a government school in Sanaa told "Newsyemen" that they had received a Houthi circular obliging them to organize an event to celebrate the birth of Fatima.

She added that the circular obliges schools to make a morning school radio broadcast on the character of Fatima Al-Zahra to introduce students to her as the mother of Hassan and Hussein.

The teacher, who asked not to be referred to by name, said that "barely a month passes without being forced by the Houthis to celebrate a Shiite occasion from these extraneous activities against Yemeni society."
