The Saudi project for the demining of "Mussam" began, on Wednesday morning, to remove dozens of unexploded shells and mines left by the Houthi militia in the government compound building in Mocha

A number of project employees collected and removed dozens of them from the courtyard of the complex building.

A project employee told Newsyemen that some shells still had explosive heads that posed a threat to the lives of citizens.

He added that the surroundings and patios of the building have been completely cleaned, while the back area of the building will be cleaned in the coming days due to the presence of trees that impede access to explosives and missiles.

He pointed out that some of the shells belonged to the ammunition storehouse, and that the shells had flown in a 200-meter circle due to the explosions caused by the fire.

The government compound building was partially destroyed after it was targeted by Houthi militias with missiles.

Unexploded ordnance and mines left by the Houthi militia on the west coast continue to pose a serious threat to civilian life.
