The Public Health and Population Office in Ma'rib Governorate condemned the bombing of the Houthi militia militia for medical facilities, transportation and health personnel in the governorate.

A statement from Marib Health indicated that Al-Jafra Hospital and the Saudi Hospital in Majzar District, 100 km north of Marib Governorate, were subjected to intentional missile and artillery shelling, which resulted in severe damage to the emergency and rest departments and a number of hospital sections.

The Marib Health Office stated that, during the past years, the Houthi coup militia targeted 12 medical facilities and a health facility, including 3 hospitals, that were totally destroyed.

The Houthi shelling resulted in the killing of 7 doctors and health workers, and the injury of 7 others from the health staff working in the governorate.

The Marib Health Statement said that, as Houthi militias continue to systematically target medical facilities and civilians, they continue with arrogance and a flagrant challenge to international humanitarian law and international covenants and treaties that prohibit targeting civilians and medical facilities, in addition to Security Council Resolution 2286/2016 which states that attacks Intentionally directed against hospitals, places where the sick and wounded are collected, medical units and transportation are war crimes under the rule of international law.

The Health Office in Marib, called on the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen Mr. Martin Griffiths, ambassadors of states and local and international human and human rights organizations to condemn and document these brutal crimes and persistent atrocities against civilians by those militias that have been stripped of human morals and values and to investigate these criminal practices in a manner that contributes to reducing them, and bring the perpetrators to justice.
