An armed group led by Arafat al-Soufi, an officer of the 170th Air Defense Brigade, stormed the home of the head of the Civil Status Authority in Taiz Iskandar al-Mikhlafi governorate, expelled the women and fired hysterically inside the house.

Friday's storming of Al-Mikhlafi's house came after the gang stormed the headquarters of the Civil Status Authority, shooting and intimidating existing employees and citizens.
The sources said that the gang destroyed the devices for the issuance of personal cards, tampered with the contents of the office, and looted a number of files in the archive.
The sources indicated that the Director of the Civil Status Authority contacted the Commander of the 170th Brigade, who came to the headquarters requesting no escalation, as the Soufi officer and his members were on the fronts and without expenses.

Al-Soufi had requested a week ago from the director of the authority to hand over the revenue to him personally, but the manager, Iskandar Al-Mikhlafi, refused this and informed Al-Soufi that he was importing the revenue to the central bank, which prompted Al-Soufi to threaten the director of the authority and promised to stop the work by force.

The director of the authority informed the governor, the commander of the axis, and the director of security and political security of the officer’s threats in the 170th Air Defense Brigade, but all sides ignored the reports.
Civil Status officials declared a strike to protest the attack on the authority.
