Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said that evading the implementation of the Riyadh agreement weakens efforts to counter the Houthi coup in Yemen.

Gargash added, in a tweet on Twitter: "The Riyadh agreement came with an exceptional Saudi effort to unite the Yemeni ranks against the Houthi coup, and evading its implementation is reflected weakly and dismantled in the midst of the confrontation with Houthi."

He stressed that "the attempts of some to cast the name of the Emirates as a candle have become exposed and a delusion that does not deceive anyone."

Last November, the government of interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Southern Transitional Council signed the "Riyadh Agreement" to end tensions in the liberated provinces and unite efforts to confront the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
