The United Nations Population Fund of the United Nations said that nine thousand Yemenis were displaced by the recent confrontations that erupted in Naham district, east of Sanaa, and the governorates of Marib and Al-Jawf.

In its official Twitter account, the Fund’s office in Yemen indicated that the war that was unleashed by the Houthi militia in the governorates of Marib, Al-Jawf, and Sana'a, led to the displacement of more than 9,000 people.

The Fund stated that the mobile medical clinics it supports continue to provide life-saving services to IDPs from those governorates.

In the context, the authorities in the governorate of Sana'a announced the opening of the alternative camp for the displaced from the Al-Khaniq and Salab camps in Naham district of Sana'a governorate as a result of being targeted by rockets and missiles by the Houthi militia.
