Activist Abdulwahid Al-Oubali revealed the Houthi group's control of the government-owned Safer Oil Company, which is located in the areas of influence of the government of interim President Abd Rabuh Mansour Hadi, in Ma'rib governorate in eastern Yemen.

Al-Oubali, in a post on his account on Twitter, said that the oil company, Saffer, in Marib, recently contracted with a lawyer loyal to the Houthi militia.

He explained that the lawyer is called Adnan Belaid, and he is a member of the Legal Committee of the so-called Supreme Revolutionary Committee chaired by Muhammad Ali al-Houthi.

Al-Oubali indicated that Salem Kaiti (the current general manager of Safer Company) was appointed by the Houthi Revolutionary Committee to the Supervision Committee, and then Houthi leader Amin Zebara appointed him as site manager, and later Saif Al-Sharif, Minister of Oil in the Shari’ah government, appointed him as deputy general manager before he was appointed general manager to the company.
