A displaced girl child committed suicide in Al-Koud camp, Abyan

Local sources reported on Monday that a ten-year-old displaced girl committed suicide in a camp in Al-Koud region in Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.
The sources stated that the child hanged herself by means of a rope placed to the roof of the hut where she lives, accompanied by her displaced family in Al-Wadi camp in Al-Koud area.
The sources quoted, according to the girl's father, that his daughter did not suffer from any psychological problems, but she committed suicide due to the poor living conditions that the displaced family had been living in for four years.
It pointed out that the displaced families are living in a tragic situation in the displacement camps in Abyan Governorate, where they lack the most basic necessities, such as food, mattresses, water and shelter tents.
