The National Tuhama Council confirmed the failure of the Stockholm Agreement for Hodeidah, because of its negative effects on citizens, which doubled their human suffering, and called for the completion of the liberation of Hodeidah.
The Tuhama Council indicated, during a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden, that what was contained in the briefing of the UN envoy, as well as the statements of the British Ambassador centered on the Stockholm Agreement are no longer useful, and a comprehensive solution to the war in Yemen must be found.
The council said, the residents of Hodeidah are living in a difficult humanitarian situation, and civilians are subjected to daily violations by the militias, a criminal behavior that will not stop until the liberation of Hodeidah.
The leadership of the council called on the government to take a clear and frank position to withdraw from the agreement instead of its vacillating positions that only serve the Houthi militia coup and behind Iran and its expansion project in the region.
