On Sunday morning, 70 fishermen from various regions of the West Coast aboard a ship arrived in the city of Mocha.

The fisherman, Saleh Abdullah, said that the Eritrean authorities had released 70 fishermen who had been holding them for 7 months, after they arrested them while they were fishing in regional waters.

He added that he was detained by the Eritrean navy along with 70 fishermen, including 15 fishermen from the Salif district, north of Hodeidah.

He stressed that all released fishermen were arrested by Eritrean navy patrols while they were fishing in territorial waters.
