On Monday, citizens of the Mocha district accused a staff member of the World Food Program of selling nutritional supplements for children with severe weight loss, as well as cases of malnutrition.
They said that the head of the World Food Organization warehouse in the old city is selling nutritional supplements to local merchants and importers of goods from Eritrea.
They added, "The store manager sells these foods while hundreds of children from the rural areas of Mokha suffer from malnutrition."
The citizens called on the World Food Organization to investigate the crime of sale, whose beneficiaries are denied children access.
The World Food Program is providing food rations to millions of Yemenis, including nutritional supplements for children with general weakness and wasting, as well as those suffering from malnutrition.
The war, which was sparked by the Houthi militia, has resulted in a lack of work opportunities and the stopping of family income, which has created a difficult living situation for millions of families, and deprived them of adopting balanced food systems for their children.
