Yahya Ghobar, the Yemeni consul general in the Indian city of Mumbai, was surprised by the media allegations that were raised after the circulation of an old video clip of the Indian police during the investigation of a suspect accused of smuggling "Qat".

Gober confirmed, in a press statement, that the video circulated dates back to the year 2013 in the city of Hyderabad, not in 2020 or the Yemeni embassy as claimed by the people who re-posted it on the communication sites.

"I started my work in Mumbai in December 2018 and since then I have been writing on my page and the consulate page and sending official notes and statements to newspapers all in order to educate the citizens," the consul general said.

He pointed out that he aimed to prevent Yemenis from becoming victims of fraud in Indian hospitals, and to warn them of the dangers of smuggling qat and gold.

He pointed out that, as soon as one of the outlaws made a publication and republished a video of the Indian police while it was investigating a smuggler in 2013 in Hyderabad, and he claimed that this is in the embassy in 2020, this publication spread widely in only three days.

The Yemeni consul asked: "What does this indicate? Does love of evil prevail over love of good in the nature of mankind?"
