An explosives expert from the Houthi militia was killed, along with a number of Houthi elements, by an explosive device that they tried to plant during the past few days in the front of Fadha, east of Al-Baydha.

A field source said that, on Thursday, the Houthi militia attempted to plant mines in Silat al-Mulajem on the front of Fadha, but that the device exploded and resulted in the death of a landmine expert and two other elements next to him.

In another incident, an explosive device exploded, on Tuesday, while the Houthi militia was trying to plant it in Silat al-Malajim, and the explosion killed a number of Houthis.

Since its invasion of Al-Baydha Governorate in 2014, the Houthi militia has deliberately planted mines in populated areas such as valleys, roads, and farms, resulting in hundreds of civilians being killed and injured, most of them women and children.
