Jurists and media workers launched a campaign on social media platforms against the kidnapping of girls and children in areas controlled by the Houthi militia.

The campaign, which was launched under the slogan "#bring my daughter back ", aims to draw the attention of local and international human rights organizations to kidnapping crimes, which are exacerbated by the Houthis in the areas of influence of the Houthis.

It also aims to urge families to report the incidents of abduction, as many families refrain from submitting reports of the abduction of their children, especially girls, for fear of "shame".

Over the past two years, child kidnapping crimes have escalated, especially for girls between the ages of 10 and 7 in the Houthi militia-controlled areas, particularly in Sana'a, Dhamar and Ibb.

According to the sources, during only two months, eleven cases of kidnapping of children (seven girls and four boys) were recorded in Sana'a only.

Activists pointed out that kidnappings of children are taking place in broad daylight and in front of the victims' homes without any fear or anxiety, which means the presence of gangs practicing organized crime.

Activists circulated pictures of the child Sumaya Al-Aslami, the last of the missing children, who was kidnapped last Friday evening in front of her family's house on 16th Street in Hayel neighborhood in central Sanaa.
