Brigadier General Adnan Al-Hammadi, Commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, was martyred on Monday, 2 December 2019 in front of his house in Al-Mawasat District in Taiz Governorate, in the center of the country.
Brigadier Al-Hammadi, was the first military commander in Taiz Governorate, who stood in the face of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, and supported the popular resistance.
He was also the most prominent military leader who fought military confrontations against the Houthi militia in Taiz, despite his injuries in the fighting, and despite being subjected to more than one assassination attempt.
Brigadier General Adnan Al-Hammadi formed the largest professional military brigade in Taiz, and his forces liberated most of the city and governorate lands. He also rejected the army's mechanization and remained loyal to his military honor.
