The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent Authority (SRCS) marched on Sunday a convoy of food and medical aid to Abyan governorate , southern Yemen
Field teams distributed humanitarian and relief assistance to the affected people in Zanzibar City and neighboring areas, and provided medical aid to hospitals and health centers
The UAE Red Crescent relief campaign came few days after defeating the Islah brotherhood in Zanzibar city and elsewhere in Abyan
The UAE Red Crescent aims to normalize life and meet the needs of the population in Zanzibar, after the return of security and stability to the areas of the Abyan Delta
The coordinator of relief organizations in Abyan Khalid Ibrahim Sheikh, said that the UAE Red Crescent began an emergency response campaign by distributing the relief materials, as well as the provision of medicines to health units and hospitals in Abyan
