The Houthi militias approved on Thursday a decision to adopt a compulsory teaching service for high school graduates and universities in areas under their control
The Houthi decision came aiming at completing plan to dismiss male and female teachers of their government jobs; moreover, the militias want to get rid of government's teachers so as to replace members affiliated to them as volunteers
Houthi media outlets reported that the unrecognized government had approved the decision submitted by the brother of the group's leader, Yahya al-Houthi, as the Houthi minister of education
The militias claimed that the decision aims at benefiting from the capacities and capabilities of Yemeni youth and allowing them to realize their early role in serving their country and developing a spirit of responsibility and positive action towards their society
