Fake oil derivatives sweep Aden city, Gov. does not concern to resolve dispute between oil company & refineries Company in Aden

Car owners in Aden complained about the spread of fake oil derivatives at private fuel stations and black market fuel sellers over the past few days, which caused a number of car owners losses and damage their cars.

One of the citizens told NewsYemen that his car was damaged because of the fake oil, and cost him about 70 thousand riyals to buy parts and the liquidation of the fuel tank, and stressed that many owners of cars have the same problem, which inflict from the commercial stations and the black market, due to the continued fuel crisis.

The prices of oil derivatives in the interim capital Aden have increased in conjunction with the stop of fuel stations belonging to the Yemeni oil company, and the black market returned on the other hand in many streets in Aden city.

A 20 liters of gasoline cost 7 thousand riyals in commercial stations and 9 thousand riyals on the black market, during the past two days.

Aden suffers from a crisis of oil derivatives for more than a week, and 24 government stations closed, while there were oil derivatives in some commercial fuel stations, and the black market.

An oil company source told Newsyemen that a dispute between Yemen Oil Company and Aden Refinery Company is behind the suspension of the oil company's plants, high oil prices in private stations and the return of the black market.

The source, who asked not to be named, said that the dispute between the two, amid which is going to marketing of oil derivatives in the local market, came after the Prime Minister's decision to stop the private sector to import oil derivatives.

Observers criticized the silence of the State of Hadi over the dispute between the oil company that upholds the law and ownership of the revenues, and the PM's decision that authorized the refineries of Aden to import and marketing oil derivatives, without separation in this case, citizens pay for the fuel crisis in the domestic market.

"The conflict between the Yemeni Oil company and Aden refineries company in Aden serves only corrupt people in the oil sector,"  Abdullah Huwaidi said, the chairmen of the Executive Office of Yemeni oil company syndicates, adding "Citizens are the ones who will pay the price of this conflict".
