Houthi militias forcibly disperse tribal sit-in to demand to release al-Qushaibi

The Houthi militias dispersed a tribal stand on Wednesday carried out by Bilad al-Rus tribe in Al-Sabeen square in downtown Capital Sana'a to demand the release of the tribal Sheikh Mukhtar al-Qushaibi, who has been seizing in the Houthi prison for three years.
A tribal source told NewsYemen that tribal groups of Belad al-Arous, southern the Capital Sana'a, came to al-Sabeen square without a weapon, and established a tribal sit-in, and slaughtered an ox ''what the so-called in tribal Tradition " al-Aqeer".
According to tribal sources, the Houthi militias moved a security force to the square to stop the tribal stand and chase the participants and arrest a number of them, pointing out that it later released some them after taking written pledges not to participate in peaceful gatherings to in the future.
The source explained that the tribes demanded the release of Sheikh al-Qushaibi based on an order issued to set him free.

Sheikh Mukhtar al-Qushaibi began a hunger strike on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the Criminal Investigation Prison in Sana'a, demanding to be referred to the Judiciary or to implement an order to set him free.
