A cold stance of the UN envoy for Yemen over the Houthi death sentences against 30 abductees included in the prisoner exchange deal lists.

He seemingly avoided to launch an anger or a provocation against Houthi militias.

The UN envoy's office had a short tweet on Twitter, citing" The UN opposes the use of the death penalty in all circumstances. @OSE_Yemen echoes @UNHumanRights statement & we are alarmed by the imposition of the death penalty on 30 people in Sana’a. We urge the parties to implement the prisoners & detainees agreement signed in Stockholm."

An official comment of the Yemeni official government expressed its concern, and implicitly criticized the statement of the special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith, and went on saying it, the UN envoy statement, "does not amount to the level of the Houthi crime."
